NRHA Reiner Magazine

The success of the Pro Trainer publication led the National Reining Horse Association to outsource its membership publication, the NRHA Reiner, to Active Interest Media/the Equine Network. Once again collaborating with an outside creative and the in-house art director, we completely revamped the publication to make it more modern, more reader-friendly, and more representative of the entire membership rather than just the elites of the sport. It also more effectively served the association’s corporate partner needs. When I started my own business, I stayed on as editorial consultant for the magazine, which allowed many other associated projects to land on my plate: revamping the monthly NRHA Reiner newsletter, which saw an increased click-through rate; overseeing the development of a website for the content found in the Reiner, which formerly was only found in the digital edition of the magazine without any SEO capabilities; creating a blog to highlight members and share information during COVID-19; and putting together initiatives for the sales team to offer multi-platform advertising packages under the NRHA and Reiner brands.
